Goodwill Community Foundation is currently providing work space for computer repair/refurbishment and computer storage. SAS has provided furniture and equipment. Goodwill, Triangle United Way, and SAS cooperate with Purple Elephant Computer Factory for KIDS! in locating and providing computers.
Volunteer Staff
Include 2 IT Professionals, 2 Electrical Engineers, A+ Certified Technicians, Network + Certified Technicians, Quality Assurance Specialists...together they have over 80 years of computer related/management experience.
Current Funding:
Purple Elephant Computer Factory
for KIDS! has applied for a $15,000 grant. Purple Elephant will seek additional
funding from public, private, and government grants. IRS 501(c)3 status
has been approved.
Volunteers
Purple Elephant has a list of over 120 active volunteers consisting of retirees, students, professionals. non-professionals, technical anfd non-technical. Everyone can volunteer.
