Purple  Elephant  Walk  and  Stampede

at Bond Park in Cary.

• 5k Elephant Stampede fun run for runners

• 1 mile Elephant Walk for families / kids

• Silent Auction

In order to pay our bills, the PE has to charge $99-$199 for each refurbished PC.  While this is a great price for a complete computer system, it is still too high for a lot of families.  We are holding our second annual Elephant Walk and Stampede to raise funds to be able to give free PE computers to some special NC families for the upcoming school year.

Our goal is to fund PCs for 100 families.  This year, we are partnering with the NC National Guard State Family Programs to get PCs to National Guard families who need a computer at home. The benefits are real - in addition to being an important tool for students, PC's play a vital role in keeping military families connected with their deployed loved ones.

Sign-in and same day registration will be at the Kiwanis Picnic Shelter, starting at 8:30.

The Elephant Stampede, a 5 K fun run, will kick off at  9:15.

The Elephant walk, a 1 mile walk, will start at  9:30.

The Durham Bull's own Wool E. Bull will be there from 9-10.
