The mission of the The Purple Elephant Computer Factory for KIDS! is to provide refurbished, operational, Internet ready computers to qualified individuals and organizations. These include at risk, economically disadvantaged or disabled individuals, or military families and the organizations that serve these communities. The Purple Elephant Computer Factory for KIDS!, a project of the Marie Arrington Hinton Foundation, Inc., is dedicated to providing computers and Internet access to "Kids of All Ages."

The Purple Elephant Computer Factory for KIDS! is a computer refurbishment program that accepts donated computers, restores them to an acceptable operating standard, adds software, provides Internet capability, and delivers the computer to qualified recipients. Students are considered qualified if the school or other agency determines that the student/family does not have a computer in the home. Adults are considered qualified when they are referred by assistance services.
